Close Call At Petty International Raceway July 18th
Over the years I have been very fortunate to avoid wrecks, either by being lucky, good anticipation or watching far enough ahead and seeing things as they develop. I thank God for wisdom to race and make it through races without getting beat up….that’s one victory most conscientious racers look for. Only one person can win, but many can race and avoiding wrecks not only moves you up in the race standings but saves $$$$$.
We have spotters, but even with good spotters some situations are in the drivers hands only. Things happen fast and we need to try and get out of the way as safe as possible.
In Diary of a Season 2020, on our Message Board I record all the races, recalling an overall review of the race. This wreck was July 18th.
