Note:….2020 was racing just one car.
The previous 6 season we ran both our Late Model and OSCAAR Modified. It was decided to make the Modified our 100% series for the first three then again in 2018 and 2019. From 2005 to 2013 we raced Late Model and our Coupe.
In 2014 I only had 100% in the Modified. The LM didn’t make all the Sunset Speedway races.
In 2015, due to no shop, I decided to race the LM at Sauble Speedway. Jason Legge allowed me to use his garage all that year and he drove the LM nights I was racing the Modified. Jason and I finished 7th at Sauble, I finished 4th in the Modified with OSCAAR, competing in all the races. Lloyd Lariviere was my crew chief that year, just the 2 of us….32 nights
In 2016 I chose OSCAAR Mods again for 100%. Jay Linde shared the LM with me. I finished 4th in OSCAAR Modified points and 8th in Flamboro Pro Late Model points thanks to Jay Linde driving one night to giving us 100%.
In 2017 I drove all the Pro LM races at Flamboro, and did 9 of 11 Modified races. Rob DiVenanzo drove the other 2 giving us 100% in the Mod series as well.
In 2018 I drove all the OSCAAR Modified nights. I bought David’s LM in 2018. He drove the nights I was not able to, we finished 4th in Pro LM standings. Both my cars had 100% in 2018.
In 2019 I raced in all the Modified races, finishing 6th. I missed a few races in the Late Model, Derrick Tiemersma covered for me for a few races that he could make, but between us we couldn’t make all the Late Model shows. My 100% was in the Modified.
It was tough racing the Late Model and Modified with the Modified sold in May, and the Late Model in July. The Wilson family bought both cars and allowed me to complete all the races I had scheduled.

NOTE:
On some nights we ran 2 classes, example CVM and Late Model or Modified and Late Model.
I only counted those as one night…but in most cases we received points in both of the classes.
At the end of the 2014 season for example I ran 20 Modified races and 16 Late Model, and track
records or series records would show we ran 36 nights, but I only counted double nights as one night, same in 2016, 2017. 2018, 2019.
Not sure how I should deal with that…but that is the reason the totals might not add up.

But the standings posted are from one series only, the committed one if I
was in more than one. So in 2008 I ran Delaware and finished
16th, but ran Flamboro and finished 4th, that was my home track.
In 2014 I ran 3 series, Sunset Speedway, OSCAAR Modified and Full Throttle Mods.
My main focus was OSCAAR Modifieds.But we finished 2nd in Full Throttle points.

NOTE:….During my 33 years with the Hobby Club rarely did we have less than 24 cars, in fact 1978 saw 49 cars sign in one night
also….if I was a third heat car, I would usually start no closer than 18th in the feature, many times 20th after qualifying through the heat
….from 73 to 79 we ran Little Features (depending on car count) and at one point the 1st heat did not qualify for the Feature. So winning the first heat and the Little Feature helped give enough points to advance (hopefully) in heat #2. Even then a racer would not be guaranteed a start in the Feature because with 12 to 14 cars in a heat, you needed to finish in the top 8, then another 8 of the consi went in the Feature, the remaining cars went to the back of the Little Feature behind the first heat cars….this handicap system was established based on car count, when we had 36 or more cars. That format prevented a dozen teams from loading up each week, and gave them a chance to race.
* David and I teamed up for the first and only time in 2018 in the Late Model and we got 4th in points. He retired at the end of 2018
