I was humbled, surprised, honored and very happy to be inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame. There were 13 of us in the Class of 2022. They gave us recognition with a short video presentation and then some time to speak. We were told we had 5 minutes, but everyone went beyond the time limit suggested.
Thanks to those who came to support me. My children, David and daughter-in-law Jeannie, Shirley and my son-in-law Derrick, my grandkids Gehrig and Lauren, Jim Hulzinga my longtime crew chief, two of my current crew from Nova Scotia, Chris White and Jack Lynds, Jack also brought Jada Totten his fiancé.
Two of my sponsors also made it, Jay Linde and his wife Colleen from Grindstone Landscaping and from Motor City Madness Board Game Denis Duval and Craig Tozer.
Finally, my good friend and longtime fan, the man who nominated me for this prestigious award, Dan Huff. Thank you to them all for their awesome support.
I am still working on my website, I can’t update anything right now and I don’t know why. I am in the stages of getting a new tower and going to windows 11, so hopefully that will help.
