Some of our crew will be over today. Louie, Troy, Stephen and Abbie will help me finish the Show Car. This car raced from 2005 until 2017. Though somewhat outdated to compete in the APC Series, it still has many good parts and will be used for promotions and car shows. I’m hoping to do some Ride A Long’s with fans or companies as well.
Today we will install the transmission, shifters, driveshaft, bleed the clutch, and go over all the connections we did after installing the 602. We will install new fluids and hopefully get it running. Once complete we will bring in our Pro Late Model and take the wheels off it and put them on the Show Car. The tires on the Pro Late have tubes in them and will keep the Show Car tires from going flat, something that is just an incredible pain when trying to get air in the tires in a tight trailer. tubes were a good idea for storing this car.
Once the Show Car is completed we will get on the Pro Late Model to finish it. New shocks, scaling and nut and bolt check.
We can get all this done while the Modified is being lettered at Creative Edge. We have likely till Wednesday before it comes home.
More updates soon….thanks for visiting our site.
PS…. the Show Car will keep our 50th Anniversary paint scheme 🙂

Modified At Creative Edge…..Complete Beautifying
We dropped off the Late Model on Monday to have the Quaker State logo’s changed back to the original. Steve had put Chrome logo’s on. They looked good but changed as they reflected the surrounding objects everywhere. Steve had no issue replacing them as both me and Quaker State requested it be done. The Chrome numbers will stay on the Late Model.
Our Modified will look much different than our 2018 car and different than our 2019 Pro Late Model. Should be ready by next week.
PS…..not sure what color wheels will be running, most likely Chrome. In this picture there is Gold on the other side and right rear. The right front tire in this picture is an 8″, used just for loading. Wanted to clear that up 🙂

Engine Swap Complete……Mod Running A 604
I thought about it a lot and decided to take the engine out of my Show Car and put it in the Modified and put the 602 in the Show Car. For those of you who might not remember, my Show Car is the Late Model I raced from 2005 until 2017. Built in 2004, it was 14 years old by 2017, older than some of the kids I was racing against.
I will be adding weight but hope to come ahead overall performance wise. We also had Ron Easton from Oakville Trailers do major work on the suspension. Most of my race program investment went into the Modified this year, but that seems to be where I run the best.
Special thanks to Troy and Louie for helping me this past week getting a lot done. The Modified goes to Creative Edge Tuesday for a complete wrap. The Late Model goes Monday for a few changes to the Quaker State and Lincoln logo’s and some added sponsor logo’s. So important to make the Brand be as sponsors want it.
Steve tried a new look on our Pro Late, with Chrome numbers and Chrome Quaker State. It was nice, but I knew as soon as I seen it, I might have to change it after the car show. It gave off too much from reflection, constantly changing the look. It is most important to me to make sure my sponsors are happy. As for Lincoln, you can see by the picture below, it says Lincoln Welders…..and thought true, that’s not the logo they want to use. We used it a few years ago and that was okay, but in 2018 Lincoln wanted to go back to Lincoln Electric. I messed up by not telling Steve to use the original logo. Steve is great and will fix it all for me and then do the Modified after I pick up the Late Model….more news soon.

Car Show A Success….New Paint Scheme Liked By All
Here is a picture of our car from the car show last weekend. Special thanks to Troy for being such a huge help at the car show last weekend, making every day 10 till closing. Thanks as well to Jim Louie, Paul and Stephen for all their help.
I have been crazy busy getting the Mod ready for lettering this week. We removed the engine (604) from the Show Car and put it in the Modified and the 602 from the Mod into the Show Car.
We should have all cars ready by the first week of April.
Been a busy off season, and I want 2 weeks to rest before the season starts. Maybe work on my arms 🙂
Thanks for visiting….more pictures to come soon.
Motorama Custom Car Show…March 8th to 10th
Modified Gets Complete Chassis Overhaul….More Power As Well
Our 2019 OSCAAR Modified has been rebuilt chassis wise. New suspension, new spindles, calipers, upper and lower control arms, shocks, rotors, calipers, strut arms, and tie rods. We are trying something new as well with our engine program. That will be announced later.
Meanwhile our Late Model is getting lettered and will be in this years Motorama Custom Car show March 8th to 10th at the International Building in Mississauga.
Quaker State is the official oil of the show and our Late Model will be in the Quaker State booth with a new paint scheme. My cars have been entering this show since 1975, but not every year. We’ve been in about 20 shows, maybe more.
Thank you for visiting our site. God bless you all.
Late Model Rebuild Complete…..Now For A New Lettering Design at Creative Edge
Over the past few months we got on both cars quickly. I wanted to have them completed by the car show in March, although only the Late Model will be entering the show in the Quaker State booth.
We did the following: replaced both doors, fenders, front nose, hood, front calipers, both master cylinders, brake pads, repaired side bars bent and rebuilt the shocks.   Our main points focus will be with the OSCAAR Modified series in 2019 but I hope to be more competitive in the Late Model than I was in 2018.
The Late Model has gone for lettering and sits now at Creative Edge waiting for it’s new paint scheme that will be unveiled at the Motorama Car Show from March 8th to 10th.
Hope to see you there, thanks for visiting our site.
