We knew after our last visit to this fast little track what we had to do and we did them. More gear, and better set up.
In warm ups we had a 13:657, over 3 tenths better than our last visit, and we were on old tires.
We had a great heat race that had many including the announcer excited. It looked like we would finish 3rd but I backed off at the checker so I wouldn’t hit the wall, so we got 4th but to the thrill of our crew and the new fans we got.
Thanks to Ernest Pothier for this great photo of Dylan Gosbee (a top runner at Oyster Bed) and I battling for 3rd.
I will have the full story up on our Message Board soon. Click on the Message Board and then on General Chat to see all our posts. Go to Diary of a Season 2022 to see all the reports and pictures from 2022.

Race #7 For East Coast International Pro Stock Tour Coming Up July 30th
We will run our 8th night of the year and the 7th in the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour. It’s been a fun year for us as we improve every night out. I struggled in the Late Model in Ontario the final 5 years because my focus was on our OSCAAR Modified. Somehow I have been re-energized to run harder, and with the crew I have and our sponsor team we are having a good season. Some damage in 4 of our races to date, but we hope to run a clean and strong race at Oyster Bed Speedway this coming Saturday. It is a small fast, smooth high bank oval and I enjoy racing there.
My computer has been fixed, it was very slow the past few weeks making it hard to post on Diary of a Season 2022, found on the Message Board, but it’s working now.
Thanks to our sponsor Inscapes Creative Design & Print for making this ad for the race. They do awesome work. If you need any printing done, flyers, business cards, invitation cards, letter head, brochures, magazines, plaques or any other print items call 905-825-2626 and ask for George.

This Saturday we will race at PEI for the second and final time in 2022. This will be the 8th of 12 East Coast International Pro Stock Tour races scheduled for 2022. It was also be our 9th race this year.
I have been having issues updating Diary of a Season 2022. I am going to try again today and hopefully can post the story and pictures.

IWK-250 Riverside International Speedway
I have been having trouble updating my Message Board Diary of a Season 2022 but have someone looking at it now. I should be able to post soon with pictures and a report.
Here is a picture of our car taken by Jeff Fullmore. He took this at another track but showed it to me during fan appreciation autograph session on Saturday night before the big race.
It’s a great picture and I appreciated him taking it, I signed this one for him, although not until this photo was taken by Chris White our crew member. I will get one for my scrap book soon.

Our 3rd IWK-250……Gruelling But We Get Our Best Finish………14th
Pre tech chance to meet and talk with 65 year old NASCAR Truck Champion Mike Skinner.
Starting 25th in a field of 27 hard charging Pro Late Model drivers we survived the very hot and physically challenging race.
Lots happened to us in this marathon on a day that saw 100 degrees Fahrenheit before the race started. It was much hotter in the car, especially after losing the use of my cool suit that really helps keep the body cool in long races.
We survived this race. Completed 241 of 250 laps and was pretty well exhausted with 40 to go. I am so thankful for my crew and sponsors for helping me get to and through this race. I also thank God for answering prayer when I asked for His strength in the final 40 laps. I was all but spent and needed a boost that I just didn’t have but we got through it and finished 14th.
The full story will be posted soon on Diary of a Season 2022 found on our Message Board.
Thank you to Chris White for this photo and thank you for visiting our site
IWK 250 This Weekend
Our car is finally ready for the biggest race of the year, in fact since 2017 I haven’t been in this prestigious race. 250 laps at the biggest fastest track likely in Canada.
Over 30 cars are registered and the grandstands will be filled with 10,000 fans.
It’s going to be over 85 degrees on Saturday, making for a very hot day anywhere on the facility but mostly in the race car.

7 Days After Wreck We Are Close To Ready
We put lots of hours in this week to get our car finished and ready to race again.
In this picture we have the engine and suspension back in the car.
There was a lot to do but my crew were amazing spending July 10th, July 12th, 14th and will come again this Tuesday. Special thanks to Shannon, Bob, Chris, Jack, Tyler, Alex and Buttons for all their help.
I thank God for my crew and all I have they are very dedicated and care that we keep our streak going, and maintain a top 10 in the point standings in the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour.
I will post more pictures of the repair process as long as my Message Board will let me. I keep getting a “Hmm, this page isn’t available” when I try to update on Diary of a Season 2022. Some days it works fine. Thanks for your patience.

Quaker State Team Suffers Worst Wreck Since 2012
Our 7th race of 2022 and the 6th of the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour ended in a disaster for our race team.
We had a good day going for us and wanted to race to the end and hopefully get a top 10 finish.
With 5 to go we were wrecked badly when another car made it 3 wide going into a very narrow turn one.
I was hit hard and knocked into the car on the outside resulting in both of us slamming the wall between turn one and two.
The full story is up on Diary Of A Season 2022 with pictures to tell the story.

East Coast International Pro Stock Race #6
We will race our 7th race and the 6th of the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour this Saturday.
We are currently 8th in points with 7 more events to go in this series.
Our diecast has been approved and should be here by late November early December.
I will post the actual diecast this coming week.

Quaker State Team Finishes 11th….First Time At Oyster Bed Speedway
Our first trip to PEI and Oyster Bed Speedway was a draining but decent trip. The rain made it so frustrating. We did finally get to the track but missed most practice sessions.
The feature was frustrating as well but we managed an 11th of 18 cars. I know we can do better next time we return on July 30th.
The full story will be updated on Diary of a Season 2022 hopefully now. I have been having issues trying to update on my Message Board. An error comes up saying “this page isn’t available” but 4 hours later it’s okay.
