Best Race Night Ever At Riverside International Speedway
UPDATE…..MY website has been redone somewhat with changes for the better. My Message Board is gone but that was where most of my issues were. I did save my stats and you can see them on left side menu board. Thanks to Stephen Hayman for helping me with my site, making things easier and much cheaper than my last provider.
Thanks also to all of you for being patient.
Race #3
We had our best race at Riverside International Speedway on June 10th finishing 10th in the feature but also on the lead lap of 150.
The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour race director put a proposal in the rules that if cars wanted to use either blue AFCO shocks or QA-1 they would get a weight break of 50 pounds from 2750 to 2700. They also added to that if a team wanted to run no “bump stops” a further break of 25 pounds and 1/2% more left side was also added.
Since we don’t have a Gale Force machine to take shocks apart with bump stops, and needed to ask other teams for help, plus couldn’t really afford one, the decision was easy for me.
I removed my existing QU-1 shocks with bump stops in them, and put them in the bottom of my trailer shelf. I bought 2 new shocks and a LF 200 rate spring and a 250 RF rated spring.
Once we got the car to stop hitting the track surface we were on our way. I loved racing the car, it was stable and I was very happy with the car, a set up now that I do understand and will have no problem fixing any loose or tight situations when racing.
I will be updating each week now that the site is fixed.
Thanks for visiting our site.
