Great Run At PEI On June 14th….Tough Night In Hot Rod June 15th

UPDATE…..I have been crazy busy the past months trying to keep up with me….I missed the June 1st race….Here’s a quick recap.
The car was decent in practice but not not so much in the feature. After finishing 6th in our heat race we started the feature 14th and finished there, only completing 87 laps. Our alternator died killing the battery. We got that and the oil leaks fixed for the next race, June 7th but it was rained out as well. Below in the report from June 14th.

We survived the driving marathon this weekend. We raced Saturday June 14th at Oyster Bed Speedway a 5 hour round trip, then another 10 hour round trip to Lake Doucette Speedway on Sunday.
Had a great night at PEI.
Set the car up better each practice. Started 18th got 14th. Finished 149 of 150 laps…. We were best in our age group 😁
Very appreciative of my crew Shannon, Bob Landry and Jack Lynds
Our car was steady all night a strong run for us
Got home from Oyster Bed at 2:10 am. Unloaded the Late Model and loaded the Hot Rod, Jack helped us with thst Got 3 hours sleep.
We left home for Lake Doucette at 8:10 arrived at 1. Missed practice but they allowed us a few laps. Heart of a Champion series requested that for us, very nice of them and the track
In the heat the throttle stuck, havent seen that evil one for awhile
Got some great help from Jim Rankin, just like racing use to be. This series is awesome that way
In the feature I tried to race hard and the car was terrible. I was concerned about that.
I spun out twice, and the second tome into the fence beating up this beautiful classic.
Shirley’s Beau needs work and we’re on it.
My crew Sunday were Shannon, Bob, Chris White and Rey Doucette.
Thanks to all my sponsors for allowing me to do this.
We are working now to make this car much better for our next race.
Thanks to the photographers for supplying pictures
A tough but fun weekend
