Good & Bad Night For Us……Mostly Good Though

We had a fun but frustrating night at Oyster Bed Speedway on Saturday.
Our heat race was our best this year with a 3rd running with the top 3 until the car started to get tight, it was also our first time heading to tech after a race.
Jack Lynds, our spotter made some adjustments for the feature to free us up , but we didn’t realize when lowering the car off the jack stands the RR spring didn’t sit in the pocket, meaning it was jacked up too high. We were on grass so it wasn’t easy to see until we got home and unloaded the car. That has happened before but not for a few years.
During the race I pitted and my crew Shannon Riley and Chris White tried to make adjustments for the loose condition not realizing the RR spring wasn’t sitting in its pocket, but I appreciated their efforts.
In spite of an insane loose car we managed to finish the race 14th of 20 cars and maintain our 9th place in the point standings.
Two more points races to go before we head to Ontario. We will consider this year a success if we can finish in the top 10 in the standings.
