Mr. Lube 200 Scotia World…Bad Luck But We Make Heat & Feature

We had our 17th race of the season, the most since coming to Nova Scotia. We have one more to go in the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour. Our team has had a tough season but we had no damage to the car until this past Saturday night at Scotia World. During practice the LF spindle broke doing a lot of damage to the car. Besides the spindle we lost the rotor, rotor spacer, damaged the LF caliper, flat tire and tons of body damage to the left side.
Our crew and I worked non stop gathering parts and reassembling the damaged pieces. We couldn’t get a caliper, we repaired the one on the car good enough to hold brake pads.
We wanted to make the feature.
We got a spindle from Tylor Hawes, bought a rotor from R&D performance (over $500) we had spare pads and the spacer for the rotor.
Shannon, Chris and I worked on assembling the hub and rotor and Bob Landry worked on the body with Chris. Our two crew members Lucas Gilby and Spencer Prest were a huge. It was their fist time in the pit crew and what a day it was to see the crew work hard to get the car ready for the heat and feature…..we didn’t think we would make the heat but we did it.
In the heat race we finished 5th of 6th but trouble with handling hurt us in the feature. WE would complete 140 of 200 laps finishing 18th but making enough points to secure 9th in the standings as long as we start the next points race on October 4th. So no rain please.
Special thanks to all my crew and sponsors, thanks for visiting our site.
Gods bless you all.
