Three Races…One Show Event In 8 Days….Streak Continues

Never again 😊
After clinching 9th in the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour series October 4th, we successfully arrived in Ontario with ample time to spare, but a marathon it was, and one I will never undertake again. However, it is an part of our history and commitment. I am willing to participate in back-to-back race nights, but not with a 15-hour gap in between 😊.
Here is the news update:
On October 4th, Petty, Shannon Riley, Chris White, Buttons, and I arrived at Petty. The weather was excellent. Unfortunately, we were late, and the pits were full, so we ended up parking in the sand behind turns 1 and 2. Although it was not an ideal location, it was our fault for arriving late. We participated in the heat race and started last in the feature. As planned, we ran 14 laps in the feature and then left the track to load up. The announcer said as I drove off the track “there goes Gary, they are heading west to Flamboro Speedway, have a safe trip”. It was crucial for us to participate in this race, and by fulfilling that commitment, we secured 9th place in the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour standings.
Thanks to my crew and sponsors. Congratulations to Ashton Tucker and his team for winning the FGI Tour Championship.
Part 2
October 4-5th
We left for Flamboro at 5:30. It was a long night and long drive but we kept going. Shannon helped with the driving.
We pulled into Flamboro pits a little after 11, so thankful to God for a safe incident free journey.
The Grisdale Triple Crown was three 50-lap features. We had lots of help lead by my son David Elliott and
Jim Hulzinga, Troy Stere, Eddie Askin, Andrew Smith, Peter Snook and of course us.
We had a good day. Some small issues bur overall it was fun. Not many cars but we finished each race and I was exhausted.
Got to see many friends and race with great competitors from APC and boys we use to race against.
Congrats to Shae Gimnmel on winning the Triple Crown.
