First Race Of 2026…..75 Lap At Scotia Speedworld

we had our first race of 2026 on May 16th at Scotia Speedworld. It wasn’t a points race but a race designed to allow rookies to get a chance to run with a few series cars to get the feel of a Pro Late Model, or as called here a Pro Stock.
We had issues with me mostly, not so much the car, I wasn’t feeling well and had a tooth bothering me.
The format was a 10-lap heat and then the 75-lap feature. We were to run on old tires from last year that were still in inventory, which is a difference maker. My tires were wore out. Example in your last race in 2025, if you only ran 40 laps and returned your tires, that’s what you raced on. Compare that to someone on 180 laps or more. The idea was to not have teams buying new tires. The race cost me over $300. We finished 6th in the heat race and 7th in the feature out of 8 cars. The car worked fine, and no damage.
Jordan Veinotte won the race, he is one of the consistent top 5 racers. It was a walk away for him.
Our first race in the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour will be May 23rd.
Note I am a little slow on reporting because I was waiting for picture. More to come soon.
