It’s been a busy past month with Buttons sick and working constantly on the Diecast and race car.
I am still having issues with Go Daddy on my site being so slow at times. I can’t maneuver from page to page on my Message Board and that’s very frustrating. When I try to update my Message Board, the past 15 times, since our race at Peterborough Speedway, the message comes up saying our page “Timed Out”.
Anyway, I will keep calling Go Daddy to get it fixed.
Meanwhile the Diecast cars came in and they are a home run. I called Lionel telling them I expected a Lincoln Continental and got a Rolls Royce. I asked God to be in this with me from the beginning and it sure paid off. The people at Lionel Racing, John Strizzi especially, were very easy to work with.
I will hopefully get my Message Board updated with the final race and the current progress on our 2023 race program.
If you would like a Diecast Car, they are $125 plus shipping, they represent the longest driver/sponsor partnership in racing history…..and that my friends by a grass roots Canadian racer. If you want one, you can email me at garyelliottmotorsports@gmail.com

Merry Christmas And May God Bless You In 2023
What a special time of year this is as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. The Angels told the shepherds “Unto you today in the town of Bethlehem is born a Savior who is Christ the Lord”.
We will never die but have eternal life says Jesus if we have faith and believe in Him. To prove His power, He defeated death and did it for us.
Praying you all have a great Christmas and a blessed 2023.
Jesus is the reason for the season.

The Body Is Close To Completion…..Rockers, New Hood Still To Fit
We’ve had a very busy post season working on the car to get it ready as soon as possible. We have finished the body, and still need to fit the rocker panels and a new hood. The rockers will be easy, the hood is always tricky.
All the maintenance is done, new brakes, quick change repair, engine checked, wheel bearings packed, lead painted and other small things fixed.
We will finish the body soon, then have our painter from PYE Chevrolet come by and stripe out the area to be painted gold.
I have been having issues updating Diary of a Season 2022 and 54 Years of Stats because my site keeps timing out.
I hope to have that rectified soon.
Thanks for visiting our site.
We should have the Diecast cars in 3 weeks, over 450 have been sold so far of 700.
If you would like one, text me at 905-928-8086.

Rebuild Continues As New Body Goes On
We’ve been working steady on the car the past few weeks to get it done before the new year. My crew have been very supportive dedicating their time to come over and get things done on the car.
Once the front end is in, the fenders, nose and steel bumper we will be close to being finished. Then our painter will come over and mark where the colors need to be painted gold and black.
So far it has been a lot of work but fun.
PS….I’m still having issues with slow performance for my site, in fact all my computer issues are slower than they use to be. Hopefully I can ge them to rectify that so I can update the final race Peterborough Speedway and 53 Years of Stats.

2023 Rebuild Underway….If My Message Board Is Responding I Will Post Pictures
The boys have been busy coming to the shop helping get our car stripped, cleaned, and replacing new parts and servicing others.
I should have an update on all we’ve done soon on the Message Board “Diary of a Season 2022”.
The engine was sent out, tested and returned, not needing a rebuild and that is amazing with 34 nights and 4000 laps on it.
I have been very busy collecting payment for our special 50th Anniversary with Quaker State, selling and collecting for the Diecast cars.
Sales have been really good and hopefully we will have a few of the 700 left over for 2023 fans to purchase.

Work On The Car & Equipment Has Started….Trailer Getting New Floor
I have so many areas in our race program to get fixed that I need to start early. My crew here of Shannon, Bob, Chris, Jack, and Alex are helping us get this moving so we can take advantage of warmer days.
I finally was able to update Diary Of A Season 2022, the trip and Flamboro race. Autumn Colors at Peterborough will be next.
Thanks for visiting our site.
Rebuild Has Begun
My crew came over on Saturday the 23rd to do some work on the car for 2023.It was quite a busy day for
Shannon, Bob, Chris and Jack.
We got everything done we wanted including stripping the body and removing the drive line. We will continue on the rebuild early November as some of our crew members are away and the banquet is coming up on November 5th.
Meanwhile Chris will be here this Saturday and we will remove the flooring from the trailer and get a new floor cover installed. Then soon after new panels on the outside of the trailer.
Here’s one picture from last Saturday.
I have been having issues trying to update Diary of a Season 2022, the final two races. I can’t get on the posts to update. It might be the slowness of my computer, but I am working on that as well.

Flamboro Speedway Oct 2nd With Billy Schwartzenburg
Here is a picture from Ashley McCubbin I just received from Flamboro October 2nd.
We will make sure in 2023 we have better shocks on the car to help it turn better.
I hope to have both race reports done soon, just need my Diary of a Season part of this site to be fixed so I can post results.

Inducted Into The Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame Class of 2022
Wow, I am absolutely honored to be inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame for 2022 with all the great inductees.
Congratulations to all the inductees, well deserved.
This could be my longest post ever on my website.
There are so many to thank, I don’t want to leave out any, so forgive me if I do ❤️
First I thank God for bringing me into this sport, and I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with all I needed.
Thank you Danny Huff for nominating me, you’ve always been an incredible dedicate fan of both David and I.
Thanks to Joe Chisholm and Jim Hulzinga for sending letters of recommendation to the CMHOF.
My parents, who are both in Heaven, thank you Dad and Mom, you taught me a lot and to always enjoy this sport. Sometimes we debated whether to go to a Drive-In or Stock Car Races. My sister Beverley wanted the Drive-In, I didn’t always win that battle. Going to the races was an easy choice for me. My parents took my sister and I to many races, mostly at Pinecrest Speedway…but at 5 years old we went to Oakwood Stadium, and from then on I was putting numbers on all my toy cars.
Thank you Nonie for getting me through so many tough race weekends over the years and encouraging me not to give up….oh and the kids.
I am so blessed to have two children, David and Shirley, thank you for always being there for me, and Jeannie and Derrick for taking care of my children by marrying and loving them. My grand kids Gehrig and Lauren who will both be at Flamboro and Peterborough Speedway when I return this October to race, love you both. ❤
Thanks to Bill Grisdale for helping me when times were tough, giving me and Buttons a great place to live and rebuild. ❤
Thanks to all the race track owners and promoters, without you I couldn’t do what I love. Special thanks to John and Frank Casale where I spent most of my career racing and look forward to returning on October 2nd.
I thank the Canadian Vintage Modifieds for the 33 years of my career, racing the Coupes and making great friends.
Thanks also to OSCAAR and Dave Gainforth for giving me an incredible send off when I left Ontario after 51 years racing. I so much appreciate the “Iron Man 72…Twin 36’s”.
To Jim Hulzinga, Steffon Zoskey, (both being with me for almost 20 years) my crew from Ontario, too many to mention, you helped me endlessly, Richard Richie, Bob Periera and Troy Stere. Don Roth for his amazing support early in my career, teaching me many good habits and being a great friend during my Mini Stock days.
My current awesome crew who have all been with me for the past three years. Shannon Riley, Bob Landry, Chris White, Tyler Hallahan, Jack Lynds and Alex Coggins, you all are such a blessing to me.
All my sponsors over the years have made this journey possible and I always have been so appreciative of them and their incredible support.
Quaker State and I will celebrate 50 years together in 2023 and will achieve 50 years racing in 2024. ❤
To my incredible fans, love to see you all at the races and do whatever possible to make your visit to the race track a blessing.
To all the track owners and staff, thanks for the work you do and your many kind words. ❤
Since coming to Nova Scotia I have met many great people and have totally enjoyed racing in the very tough and competitive East Coast International Pro Stock Tour.
Oh by the way….I’m not done yet. I am still enjoying this amazing sport and want to go as long and as far as God will allow me with good health and awesome sponsors.
Thank you all for the kind words and your amazing, loved support.
❤ ❤ ❤️
Mike Stevens Memorial 200….29 Cars…We Finish 15th
We ran the Mike Stevens Memorial on Saturday night at Petty International Speedway. It’s a very fast short high banked track. We started 25th, went down a lap but took the checker in 15th place.
Our next race is Saturday September 24th at Scotia Speedworld, our final East Coast International Pro Stock Tour race. We are 6th in points, only 10 out of 5th. We would love to finish 5th, but we leave the next morning for Ontario and want to head west with no damage.
I may not be able to update my web white I’m gone, but I will try to for sure.
Thanks to Inscapes Design & Print for this flyer.
