This weekend we will reach our 1300th night of racing since 1969. The milestone will take place at Riverside International Speedway on September 11th in the Toromont Cat 150. It has taken tremensous help from, family, friends and sponsors to reach this level of nights raced. I thank God for all His provisions and giving me a great loving family and sending me awesome
Here is the breakdown:
Final Points Race…East Coast International Pro Stock Tour…October 2nd
October 2nd will be the 9th of 9 East Coast International Tour events and our 10th for 2021. We are currently 6th in points and should be able to hold on to 6th in our first Maritime points chase.
Special thanks to my crew Bob Landry, Chris White, Tyler Hallahan, Jeff Decoste, Shannon Riley and Jack Lynds for all their help in 2021. We may have one more race in New Brunswick depending on the border situation with restrictions.
Our Message Board thread, “Diary of a Season 2021 is temporarily down, but will be up hopefully in a few days.

East Coast International Race #8 of 9….We Get Our Best Lap Time Ever
We raced Scotia Speedworld on Saturday night, the 25th of September. I wasn’t able to update the Message Board “Diary of a Season 2021” yet, but soon I hope.
We were determined to beat our best lap time at this track and were successful in our heat race. We started 7th, finished 7th but for a change, we didn’t fall too far back from the pack. The leaders were in the 14:3’s and we turned a 14:536, our best ever at Scotia.
We are still 6th in the standings, it pays to make every race.
Our next race will be our 10th of the season, and the 9th of the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour. We will have one final race in New Brunswick in October, but confirmation on that race will come after our next most important race in the Tour series.

1300th Career Night… September 11th…Riverside International Speedway
We will compete in our 1300th night of racing since 1969 in the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour at Riverside International Speedway September 11th.
I have many to thank for this milestone. I thank God for giving me a great supportive family, great friends, faithful crew members, excellent sponsors, hard working promoters who have supported our team, many competitors, their families, crew and of course our dedicated fans.
We also just passed 2900 races since 1969. But we’re not finished. Our biggest goal to reach is 50 years with Quaker State and possibly 900 consecutive nights…we’re at 856 not including this coming race event. It will be our 8th of the season.
More on our 1300 nights in Diary of a Season 2021 next week.

Our Next Race Is September 11th Riverside International Speedway
We’ve lost a few races due to Covid restrictions but looks like we are getting a few more so we really might only lose one race of the 12 our team had scheduled.
We will lose one in New Brunswick due to border issues but we should be good with the remaining schedule we planned.
September 11th Riverside International Speedway
September 25th Scotia Speedworld
October 2nd Scotia Speedworld….to replace the race we lost at Petty on August 28th
October 10th Shedica, Center For Speed, our 11th race of 2021.
If these 4 races do get completed we will hit 860 consecutive nights at the end of 2021.
Our team will be doing at least 3 more shows this season, one at PYE Chevrolet, and two at Canadian Tire Truro.

Cummins 150 At Petty International Raceway Cancelled
This news was just released on August 26th. Losing this race reduces our races to 11 right now from 12. Depending on any other restrictions we hope to get the rest of our schedule done for 2021.
We will do a few more show events with our sponsors.

We Get….”Kenny U-Pull” Hard Charger Award At Riverside International Speedway
What a great day we had at Riverside International Speedway. This was our 7th race and our 6th race in the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour. We had a decent day running with both Ryan Van Oirschot #80 in the first race very close and racing hard with Waylon Farrell #48 in the second.
It was a grind no doubt on this very fast high back oval.
I was lapped in the first 75 on lap 53 and in the second 75 twice.
Congrats to Craig Slaunwhite for his win.
We were deemed the Hard Charger based on us being the only car to gain a position after the invert.
We have been so blessed this year just racing as hard as I can against all these youngsters and having a great time. We’re 6th in points with 3 points races left. We can still catch 5th although the #0 of Matt Vaughan is running very strong.
The full story of August 21st race is in Diary of a Season 2021. Click on the Message Board on the left menu, then click on General Chat to see the recap of the Riverside International Wilson Equipment Twin 75’s. You will see all our postings since 2008 as well as 52 Years Of Stats.

Twin 75’s Riverside International Speedway August 21st
This weekend will be our 7th race of 2021 and our 6th in the East Coast Pro Stock Tour.
I have been racing more aggressive this year but still a long ways from running with the fast cars. I have gained more confidence in myself this year and look forward to racing at least 3 more years to get to 50 years with Quaker State

Gary Elliott Motorsports Will Make History……Double Header Scotia Speedworld August 14th & 15th ….Cummins 150-Parts For Trucks 150..
This weekend will be the most laps I’ve raced in a 2 day event, in my 53 years racing. Because of Covid, Scotia Speedworld along with East Coast International, will host two races at the track, the first time in the Maritime Pro Stock Tour’s history. The double header, though never done before, will help the series complete a 9 race schedule……exciting for me. I’ll sleep till Wednesday. 🙂
Saturday will see a 10 lap heat race followed by the Cummins 150 lap feature event. On Sunday we will have the same format, a 10 lap heat race then the Nova Truck Centres 150.
I raced 5 features on October 25th 2015, three Late Model 50 lap races in the Grisdale Triple 50’s and between those races two 30 lap features in the OMRS Modifieds. That totaled 210 laps in one night, but no racing the night before.
On the weekend of this first time event I will race 320 laps in 2 days. Fifty lap races are not grueling but 150 lap races are.
I am so fortunate to be able to compete in these races though it is tough physically. God gives me strength and desire to do this, my sponsors make it possible with their tremendous support, and I thank God for them as well.
