I recently had to change my website provider and eliminate some things that I wished I could have kept but couldn’t. One was the Message Board where I kept all my stats and race updates.
I do have a new page called 54 Years of Stats and that will be updated completely soon to include all of 2022.
My issue was with the Message Board system that was outdate and would not allow me to add updates any longer. I will be adding them on this page. So far there are 4 nights completed. Those will be put it one post that I might be able to add to every race night. That will be coming soon.
Thank you for your patience and support
God bless you all
Best Race Night Ever At Riverside International Speedway
UPDATE…..MY website has been redone somewhat with changes for the better. My Message Board is gone but that was where most of my issues were. I did save my stats and you can see them on left side menu board. Thanks to Stephen Hayman for helping me with my site, making things easier and much cheaper than my last provider.
Thanks also to all of you for being patient.
Race #3
We had our best race at Riverside International Speedway on June 10th finishing 10th in the feature but also on the lead lap of 150.
The East Coast International Pro Stock Tour race director put a proposal in the rules that if cars wanted to use either blue AFCO shocks or QA-1 they would get a weight break of 50 pounds from 2750 to 2700. They also added to that if a team wanted to run no “bump stops” a further break of 25 pounds and 1/2% more left side was also added.
Since we don’t have a Gale Force machine to take shocks apart with bump stops, and needed to ask other teams for help, plus couldn’t really afford one, the decision was easy for me.
I removed my existing QU-1 shocks with bump stops in them, and put them in the bottom of my trailer shelf. I bought 2 new shocks and a LF 200 rate spring and a 250 RF rated spring.
Once we got the car to stop hitting the track surface we were on our way. I loved racing the car, it was stable and I was very happy with the car, a set up now that I do understand and will have no problem fixing any loose or tight situations when racing.
I will be updating each week now that the site is fixed.

Opening Day…East Coast International Pro Stock Tour…
The first race of 2023 is in the books. We had a few issues to deal with and still do. The shocks are not right yet, not enough travel, but we can work on that.
We also had an electrical issue that took us out of the 150 lap feature on lap 44.
David came from Ontario for this race and helped me get things set up. He also diagnosed the issue with the wiring. I will get that fixed right away.
We finished 14th and have some work to do this week for get ready for race #2 at 660 Speedway near Fredericton New Brunswick.

Radical Speed Sport Car Show A Huge Success For Our Team & Sponsors
We entered the Radical Speedsport car show from April 21 to April 23 and were very happy with the number of people who dropped by for pictures and well wishes for the coming season.
We have a practice day coming on May 13th then opening day on May 20th.
My schedule isn’t done yet because of a few uncertainties, but hopefully we know more soon about racing other cars throughout 2023, like a Sportsman (called Super Stock in Ontario), a Dirt Late Model and a 4 cylinder. I will know more about these opportunities soon.
I’m still have issues with posting on my Message Board but Go Daddy tells me everything is fine, so I went to my internet provider and had them give me the max speed. I hope that issue (since October) get resolved as well…..Thanks for visiting our site.
49th Annual Radical Speed Sport Moncton April 21st to 23rd
We have our car set up for display at the Coliseum in Moncton for the 49th annual Radical Speedsport show. This will be our first show of 2023 and we look forward to seeing a big crowd for this awesome show, very similar to Motorama in Ontario.
We’ve done a lot of work detailing the car for this special season with Quaker State, celebrating our 50th year together.
Special thanks to my crew and all my sponsors for their tremendous support and dedication. I also want to thank Kirk Alexander from Finish Line Vinyl for his excellent work lettering our car.
We are also very excited to announce we have added three more sponsors to our team in the past month.
Hub Well Drilling located in Murray Siding…..Nickerson Auto Salvage in Antigonish and Robby’s Towing in Sydney Nova Scotia. Special thanks to these new sponsors who will blend in perfectly with our existing sponsors.
I will post a picture from the show this weekend but I won’t access to my computer until Sunday night.
I will be positing our 2023 schedule in a week or so.

Preparing For The Radical Speed Sport Show In Moncton…..First Time Using Hood Hinges Like This
We hopefully will have the car lettered by Kirk Alexander this weekend as we prepare for our first time shown at the Radical Speed Sport show in Moncton. This will be their 49th season of hosting car shows.
This past weekend we finished a few small details, installing 2 rear shocks, the driveshaft, hooking up the starter and adding hood pin plates.
Something new for our team is the installing of new hood hinges. I never used these before and love them. My crew member Bob Landry installed them, making it look easy and making the car look awesome.
I’m still having issues with my message board. I’ve called Go-Daddy a few times but they tell me it’s fine, and it is to look at it, but I can’t update anything because it times out. It’s possible I could have a new message board installed but I’ve been told if I do that I will lose everything currently posted on the message board and that can’t be.
I’m still trying. The other day I got on and added the word 54 inside the 53 Years of Stats and that was it, timed out on me. I’m still trying to get it working.

2023 Race Program Getting Closer
We have been working a lot on our race program for 2023. Shannon Riley, Bob Landry, Chris White and Jack Lynds have been helping me get our car ready for an upcoming show on April 21st. I will post about that soon.
We finally got all the body installed and the chassis done, just a few small things left to do. The next job will be to have the car lettered which will be in less than 2 weeks.
Our car takes on the look of our 50th Anniversary Diecast. By the way there are still Diecast left for anyone who would like one of these world record productions, the longest driver sponsor partnership in racing history.
I am still having trouble with my Message Board, hopefully I can get that fixed, been trying several times to get things updated but the page continually times out. I’ve asked Go-Daddy for support but they say it’s fine……nope. More front page updates soon, I have a new computer now.

Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee
I was humbled, surprised, honored and very happy to be inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame. There were 13 of us in the Class of 2022. They gave us recognition with a short video presentation and then some time to speak. We were told we had 5 minutes, but everyone went beyond the time limit suggested.
Thanks to those who came to support me. My children, David and daughter-in-law Jeannie, Shirley and my son-in-law Derrick, my grandkids Gehrig and Lauren, Jim Hulzinga my longtime crew chief, two of my current crew from Nova Scotia, Chris White and Jack Lynds, Jack also brought Jada Totten his fiancé.
Two of my sponsors also made it, Jay Linde and his wife Colleen from Grindstone Landscaping and from Motor City Madness Board Game Denis Duval and Craig Tozer.
Finally, my good friend and longtime fan, the man who nominated me for this prestigious award, Dan Huff. Thank you to them all for their awesome support.
I am still working on my website, I can’t update anything right now and I don’t know why. I am in the stages of getting a new tower and going to windows 11, so hopefully that will help.

Diecast Cars Celebrating Our 50th Year With Quaker State Are Here
It’s been a busy past month with Buttons sick and working constantly on the Diecast and race car.
I am still having issues with Go Daddy on my site being so slow at times. I can’t maneuver from page to page on my Message Board and that’s very frustrating. When I try to update my Message Board, the past 15 times, since our race at Peterborough Speedway, the message comes up saying our page “Timed Out”.
Anyway, I will keep calling Go Daddy to get it fixed.
Meanwhile the Diecast cars came in and they are a home run. I called Lionel telling them I expected a Lincoln Continental and got a Rolls Royce. I asked God to be in this with me from the beginning and it sure paid off. The people at Lionel Racing, John Strizzi especially, were very easy to work with.
I will hopefully get my Message Board updated with the final race and the current progress on our 2023 race program.
If you would like a Diecast Car, they are $125 plus shipping, they represent the longest driver/sponsor partnership in racing history…..and that my friends by a grass roots Canadian racer. If you want one, you can email me at garyelliottmotorsports@gmail.com
