I love going to this track, it’s fun to drive and the atmosphere is great, especially at night racing in this bull ring surrounded y white walls and fans all around the track .
We arrived early enough but were last getting in the pits. We couldn’t get a pad so we parked on the dirt road by our trailer. There were 19 cars, a decent turn out for a small track.
we worked on the car all day and could not get any faster. It was frustrating for us.
Jack was not with us, Jada had the baby and we knew his priority would be with them both.
We haven’t heard from our other crew members who have not have not shown up or messaged for a few weeks, and haven’t answered my messages. That happens, and truly, it’s not easy being on any race team and it’s not for everyone.
Our crew come over once a week to do all the maintenance and set up. I don’t ask them to come over more than that, they work and have other commitments as well.
I am very grateful for the team I have, we work great together and nothing falls off the car, they do a great job.
Our day didn’t go well. The heat race was terrible with steering issues that returned in the feature. We could not find the issue though we knew our screw on power steering cap was no good, another one was ordered and we will have it for the Summer Clash 250 August 8th.
In the feature the car was still off, steering was hard not allowing us any speed. I had to pull off on lap 55 with the steering starting to lock up.
We would finish 17th and maintained our hold on 10th in the points.
Congrats to Cory Hall for another dominating win, although Dylan Gosbee, who finished 2nd gave him a great challenge. Robbie MacEwen took 3rd.
Our next race is 2 weeks away and is a 3 day deal for us. The Scotia Speedworld Summer Clash 250, Thursday night Show & Shine, Friday Time Trials and Sportsman 100 and Saturday the 250.
