Our 2022 season will begin at Scotia Speedworld on May 21st. This will be our 54th season racing and 49th year with Quaker State. I will be posting results and hopefully pictures on Monday May 23rd.

2022 Schedule…..18 Races
Our 2022 race schedule will include the full East Coast International Pro Stock Tour, 3 specials at Petty International Raceway in River Glade New Brunswick, another special at Center For Speed in Shediac New Brunswick and two races in Ontario for the Grisdale Triple Crown at Flamboro Speedway and Peterborough’s annual Autumn Classic.
This 18 race schedule will still be less than our average since 1969 of 24.5 nights per year, but it will be much better than the past two seasons.
Our first race is this Saturday May 21st at Scotia Speedworld near the Halifax Airport.
I will be posting race results and pictures once I get them from whomever the photographer is.
Our 2022 autograph cards are ready, just waiting for a good picture of the current paint scheme with our new sponsors. I should have the picture from the June 4th race at Petty Raceway.
Diecast
Our Diecast has been sent offshore. I will receive one completed Diecast to check over and if I am happy with it I will give them the go ahead to produce 700. I expect to have them by November. We have orders for 356 cars right now. I believe there will be no cars left by Christmas. If you want one please let me know by looking me up in Murray Siding Nova Scotia, or on social media.

Diecast Design Complete…..For 50th With Quaker State
Hey sorry for not updating more on my website. I have been working with Lionel Racing the past 2 months and finally got the new paint scheme and all the required information, letters of permission from sponsors and high resolution logo files to Lionel. The next step is for the production company to make me one Diecast car and send it to me for approval. I will check the car to make sure everything I wanted on the Diecast is there and didn’t forget to include anyone or anything.
I will be updating my site more now that we are only 3 weeks away from the start of the 2022 race season, our 54th.
Here is the art work from Lionel. They can’t duplicate chrome wheels and the gold isn’t very bright but they have assured me the gold will be richer once an actual single Diecast has been made for my approval.

50th Anniversary Diecast Close To Being Prepared By Lionel For 2023
It’s a world record now, but it will be even bigger when we get to our 50th year with Quaker State, the longest driver/sponsor partnership in racing history.
We will have hoodies, t-shirts, hats and other souvenir items by spring of 2023.
I also wanted to have a Diecast for this milestone, and that wish is happening, thank you Lord.
I’ve been working tirelessly on the Diecast for our 50th year with Quaker State. There is a lot that had to be worked out before sending everything to Lionel Racing. Special thanks to Kirk Alexander for all his help with this project.
***************************
Here is an update:
*All high resolution logo’s have been sent to Lionel Racing
*All permission letters from sponsors on the Diecast or on the box will be sent March 19th
*The final concept drawing has been sent to Lionel Racing on the 16th of March.
I haven’t heard back yet from Lionel Racing to know if they need more information. It’s been a challenge getting sponsors locked in for 2 years, then asking for permission letters to have their logo on the car, a licensing requirement by Lionel Racing.
Once Lionel Racing is satisfied with everything we send them, they will make a 3D version of the car design posted here.
I designed the paint scheme with help from Rodney Sullins from Arkansas and Kirk Alexander of Finish Line Vinyl Design. Kirk letters my Pro Late Model and Rodney designs on line race paint schemes for members of Rolling Thunder Gaming, a group I use to race on line with in 2010-2011.
This design still needs small tweaking but is 99% ready for a 3D look.
There won’t be red centers for the wheels. The drawing program comes with red centers.
Once I approve the final design by Lionel Racing, they will require a deposit and then send it offshore to be manufactured. I hope to have them by November 2022. We need to order a minimum of 700. So far I have had 326 requests for a car. It is possible we might need to order a few more, I don’t want to be sold out before 2023 starts…..that would be great, but I would hate to have people asking for this milestone keepsake and we’re sold out.
The cars will be $100 each including tax, plus shipping. Ontario shipping will be around $30.
Maritime shipping may be free if I can meet up with buyers.
If you would like one, please contact me at garyelliottmotorsports@gmail.com
I’m also on facebook.

50th Anniversary Plans For 2023….Quaker State & Gary Elliott Motorsports
I know I have been slow to get updates on this site, but since my car was already, other than lettering and final set up, I decided to focus on our plans for 2023, the world recorder longest driver/sponsor partnership in racing history.
Our plans include making a Diecast car through Lionel Racing. These cars will be a 1/24th scale Pro Late Model Chev design.
I am also going to have hats, Hoodies, T-shirts and tumblers to offer for this milestone achievement. I thank God for all I have been given and very excited to have been partnered with Quaker State and all my sponsors for such an amazing journey.
This picture is the Diecast we did of this years car. The 50th design is being worked on and will be ready in the next 2 weeks and I will post the drawing here.
We are taking orders now for the 50th Anniversary Diecast cars. You can reach me at 905-928-8086 if you would like to order one, or PM me on my facebook page.

Merry Christmas & Wishing You All A Blessed 2022
This is my favorite time of year. The lights, colors, family and most of all the birth of our Savior.
Praying the Light of Christmas is in your heart 365 days a year, He loves us all and has provided a place for us when we leave here….Jesus said those who believe in Him will never die but go from death to eternal life in Heaven.
Good news for us I believe. Omicron has all but destroyed Covid. This last strain has infected everyone the same way a cold use to….remember the cold/flu, it’s been gone for 2 years but making it’s way back.
Wishing you all a safe and blessed 2022….free of lock downs, restrictions and constant negative news. God bless you all.
Car Complete Ready For Set Up In The Spring
This is the earliest my car has ever been ready in 53 years racing. We could start practicing now.

I am also to thankful to Ian Murphy for getting the body panels painted in quick time for us.
Here is a list of what we got done:
* removed all body panels but the roof

* sanded all body panels
* sent body panels out for paint
* power washed chassis complete
* replaced both u-joints in the driveshaft
* repaired transmission oil leak
* replaced both clutch discs and the release bearing (old bearing will be a spare)
* bled the clutch release bearing

* repacked all inner and outer wheel bearings
* fixed 3 stripped threads in the quick change (we only torque to 18…not stripped from too tight)

2022 Rebuild Images Of Our Progress
Thanks to my crew, Shannon Riley, Bob Landry, Chris White and Jack Lynds we competed most all of the preseason work for 2022. The list was quite lengthy but with a few glitches we got most all of it done.
All that’s left now is the front shocks to be installed, the front fenders and nose. I’m waiting for the nose to be painted at PYE Chevrolet in Truro, and then we will complete the work for 2022 and wait until all sponsors are resigned before lettering. Lettering could be done by the Daytona 500 in February.
I have posted a bunch of pictures in Diary of a Season 2021. To see them go to the menu on the left side of this site, click on the Message Board, then on General Chat to see Diary of a Season 2021 to Diary of a Season 2008. Third topic down is 53 Years of Stats…..that’s an interesting read.

Last Race 2021 At Scotia Speedworld…………We Finish 6th In The Standings 2022 Rebuild Under Way
After a successful season finishing 6th in the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour schedule, our car emerged with almost no damage. I thought about leaving it and saving our team time and money to replace or repair things. However, once a list of things was made, I decided to strip the car down and repair all the items that needed fixing. We did all the repairs and removals other than those mentioned done by R&D Performance. Here is a rough list I wanted to have done by November 30th. Thanks to Chris White, Jack Lynds,Bob Landry and Tyler Hallahan for helping getting this all done by the time set
* remove all body panels
*send them out for repaint at PYE Chevrolet
*remove the fuel cell and repair the 3 stripped studs on the quick change with heli-coils
*remove the drive shaft, transmission, bell housing and clutch assembly
*replace the 2 discs
*fix the trans leak at the front
*replace both u-joints in the driveshaft (R&D Performance)
*replace the release bearing
*reinstall all the drive line components
*bleed clutch
*remove all 4 hubs and wheel bearings, clean and repack and reinstall
*install new pads front and rear *install 4 calipers
*bleed brakes
*remove 4 shock and spring assemblies and send to R&D Performance for dyno test.
*remove all 4 calipers and have new seals installed (R&D Performance)
*shampoo the chassis complete
*install newly painted body panels *except front fenders and nose (more room for engine work)
*replace valve springs (R&D Performance at my shop)
Still need to replace the 4 shocks, both front fenders and nose. Once that’s done we will be finished for 2022, the earliest ever for my team. Then to work on sponsors.
I will hopefully have a sponsor report soon as we get set to start season #54 and our 49th with Quaker State.
Check out 53 Years Of Stats on our Message Board…..click on Message Board, then General Chat to see all the posts….Diary of a Season 2021 to 2008 plus, 53 Years Of Stats near the top of the list of posts. I will soon add pictures of our rebuild, but for some reason my computer is telling me there are no pictures to down load off my phone….but that’s fake news because there’s lots. 🙂

Gary Elliott Motorsports-Quaker State & All Our Partners Celebrate Good 2021
2021, though a struggle in many ways was a big success for our team. We reached some goals, ran the full East Coast International Pro Stock Tour, finishing 6th in the 9 race series. We also made an invitational at Petty International Raceway, giving us 10 races for the season.
Because of Covid restrictions we were unable to make it to 2 races, one was rescheduled and the other we could not attend due to border rules. One was cancelled when Tim Wile, owner of Center For Speed in Shediac New Brunswick, lost his father and for that we pass on our condolences and prayers to Tim and his family.
Our team was fantastic this year. I only got stressed once because I was struggling trying to make the car better. This was the first and only time I got upset with myself. However, by the end of that day we turned our fastest laps ever at Scotia Speedworld.
Special thanks to Shannon Riley, Bob Landry, Jeff DeCoste, Chris White, Tyler Hallahan, Jack Lynds and Aidan Fry for all their help. Aidan posted updates on Instagram for our team, much appreciated.
I also want to thank my very valued sponsors for this season:
#quakerstate #lincolnelectric #ppg #permatex #strictlyhydraulics #pyechev #grindstonelandscaping #inscapesgraphicdesign #epicracewear #flamboromachineshop #finishlinevinyldesign #wingnutproductions #qwickwick
We will start redoing our car for 2022 soon. There is lots to do as we reach out to existing sponsors for 2022 and get our car finished early so we can do some shows preseason. My Message Board is still not working properly for me to do updates on Diary of a Season 2021, hoping that gets fixed soon.
