The boys came over on Saturday, Bob, Tyler, Chris and Tyler’s friend Shawn. We got a lot done on the body putting panels back on. Here is the finished look after Saturday. More pictures on Diary of a Season 2020. Thanks for visiting our site.
In 1997 we painted our car all white, with a few changes like the checker up the side of the car. We had 9 wins that year including 2 features. We also won Best Appearing Car. We ran 26 nights and finished 6th in the overall points. Thanks for visiting our site
Over the years I have been very fortunate to avoid wrecks, either by being lucky, good anticipation or watching far enough ahead and seeing things as they develop. I thank God for wisdom to race and make it through races without getting beat up….that’s one victory most conscientious racers look for. Only one person can […]
Here is our most spectacular looking car. This Modified won Best Appearing Car 3 times in 2019. At the Rick Woolner Memorial in July of 2019, at the Ironman 72 at Sunset Speedway and then at the year end OSCAAR Modified banquet. I posted all the winners since our first car in 1969, on Diary […]
We won the Best Appearing car award came in 1985. It was my second year of the OARC, Hobby Division, now known as the CVM. It was also our second time winning this award, the first being 1969 in the Mini Stock. 1985 was our 17th year, and the first season running #9, my second […]
Here is a picture by Tanya Everett from the July 4th race PIR. It took me lots of laps to get this track figured out. By the 4th time racing on it in the Mike Stevens Memorial we were getting better. More updates soon. Our front and rear bumper covers are being painted and we […]
Our car is coming along good. Just had the transmission repaired and installed. We were able to install it with the shifter rods still attached making it a lot easier and faster. This picture was taken by Ernest Pothier at Center For Speedway in Shediac New Brunswick. A fun track that I was able to […]
As we prepare our car for 2021 I want to share a few pictures from our 2020 season. This picture was taken by Ken MacIssac at Riverside Speedway in Speedway. Currently our transmission is being worked on and should be ready later this week. Thanks for visiting our site.
All the body panels are ready now accept for the front and rear nose. They should be done by the end of the week. I decided to paint the inside of the fenders and rocker panels so all panels are black inside. Chris White came over a few times the past 2 weeks and we […]
We got the body panels back from PYE Chevrolet. Ian Murphy did an amazing job again putting the beautiful green on the panels. The paint was supplied by PPG. I am very thankful for these 2 sponsors on our team for 2021. We have some repairs to make on the drive line. Nothing too serious, […]
I was so blessed to race with my son for most of his 30 years. He left the CVM in 2003 letting 2 of his crew race the car. Then he went to Late Model in 2004. I joined him in 2005 with my own Late Model. In this picture we are enjoying his first […]
While waiting for our panels to painted I will post some pictures and stories of the racing with my son David. He was one of the top runners in both the Hobby and Late Model classes. 14 Championships 60 plus Feature wins. Here is a picture of David’s first win in the Hobby division in […]
