Riverside Speedway September 12th….Round 9 of 10…Another Disaster!

For the 4th race night in a row we have had terrible mechanical issues.  It started June 25th at Oyster Bed Speedway when our power steering went.  we only finished 55 laps of the feature. We tried were loosing power steering fluid, and a new cap seemed to correct the problem.
Then the Summer Clash in early August 8th and the steering completely locked up causing hydraulic lock, impossible to steer.  We started the feature but only ran 18 laps or so on the new tires.
The next race was back to PEI on August 29th and the quick change broke.  We didn’t run the heat or the feature, That was the first in in almost 20 years we missed a feature, maybe more.
We had it fixed plus sent the transmission with it to fix a leak, that had been leaking for a long time.   .
We went to Riverside Speedway on September 12th thinking we were good with the repairs.  However on our second time on the track the transmission was leaking so bad we spun out in hammering the inside wall and bending the front frame rails.  Lucky no other damage to parts.
The car was beat up pretty good but we stripped the front end and and started the feature giving us enough points to secure 10th, we just need to start the final points race September 26th
It’s been frustrating for us.  Our next race is on September 19th at the Mike Stevens Memorial, a 254 race. the most laps for a feature race this year.
